More output, same hours
Chapters
In a factory, the costliest machine is the one standing still. An agent that waits for your answer is that machine: it asked a question, or it finished its turn, and nothing moves until you come back. Out on a five-hour hike, it waits all five.
With Offsite the question pops up on your phone, with the name of its session and its workspace. Tap it, and you are in that session: Claude’s question with its answers, Codex asking to run a command. Twenty seconds, and the agent runs again. The same works at a rest on the trail and between two sets at the gym, and before bed you tell three agents their next task. In the film’s example day, five agents work all day and three of them into the night, for a few minutes of your time, and your output multiplies in the hours you already work.
Tips
- A push comes when an agent needs your input and when it finished a turn. Both are on by default; each device has its own switch under Notifications in the app’s settings.
- A card that asks stays red on every device until you open it on one of them. Open it on the phone, and the Mac is clear too.
- Tap the mic in the Command Bar to dictate the next task, tap it again when you are done, and send it with the check mark. Dictation uses your own OpenAI key.
- For a MacBook that works into the night, keep it plugged in, turn on Disable host sleep with the bolt on its row and choose Unlimited.
