Back after a restart
Chapters
Your Mac restarts for an update while you’re away. Your agents stop, and until someone logs in at the screen, your phone can’t reach them.
With Always on, Offsite starts with the Mac, before anyone logs in. Your phone connects again, the board is just as you left it, and your agents pick up their conversations with their own resume command. One word to each, and the work goes on.
Tips
- Turn it on in the Mac app under Host Settings › Always on, or on the setup page of the same name. macOS asks for your administrator password once.
- Sessions come back as soon as a device connects to the host.
- Codex, Grok and shell sessions resume before anyone logs in. Claude keeps its sign-in in the Mac’s login keychain: its sessions resume once you log in there, or once you unlock the keychain from the Claude card with your Mac password, from any device.
- A resumed agent waits at its prompt: send one word to finish the turn the restart cut off.
