Claude is on the checkout, and a flaky cart test needs Codex. To hand it over, you stop, open a Codex card and write the whole brief into it yourself.

With Offsite, you tell Claude, even from your phone. Say “start a Codex session with Astra and have it fix the flaky cart test, while we focus on the checkout”, and a Codex card opens beside Claude’s, with the model you named and a brief Claude wrote for it. Codex works on the test while Claude stays with you on the checkout, and you can watch both on the Mac or the iPhone.

Tips

  • Ask in plain words, in any agent session, and name the agent and the model you want: Claude, Codex or Grok. The tools run on the host, so the board follows on every device.
  • Fresh or forked, as you say. A fresh session gets only its task, so the agent writes a brief that stands on its own. Say “from here” or “hand this off”, and the new session first reads this one’s last 300 entries.
  • The new card starts under the name the agent gives it and renames itself once it knows its work.
  • Another agent starts in its own default mode; the same agent inherits the mode of the session that starts it. Starting a session goes through the agent’s own approval, and reading other sessions never asks you in Claude Code and Codex.
